What Are Chores?
Chores in Heima are tasks that can:
- Be assigned to one or multiple people
- Repeat daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or on custom schedules
- Include reminders and notifications
- Be organized inside a shared Space (Family, Household, Work, or Personal)
- Include an effort level to reflect how demanding the task is
Everything lives inside a Space, so everyone involved has access to the same overview.

Chores & ADHD-Friendly Structure
For many people — especially those with ADHD — managing tasks can feel overwhelming.
It’s not about laziness. It’s about cognitive load.
Heima helps reduce that load by:
- Making expectations visible
- Turning vague responsibilities into clear, concrete tasks
- Setting automatic reminders
- Creating predictable routines with repetition rules
- Sharing responsibility so everything isn’t in one person’s head
Instead of remembering everything yourself, Heima remembers for you.
Recurring tasks like:
- Taking out the trash
- Cleaning the bathroom
- Watering plants
- Changing bed sheets
can run automatically in the background, with reminders when needed.
Why This Matters
ADHD often makes it harder to:
- Prioritize tasks
- Remember recurring responsibilities
- Start tasks (even when you want to)
- Keep routines consistent
By externalizing tasks into a shared system, you reduce mental friction and decision fatigue.
Less “Did anyone remember this?” More “It’s already scheduled.”
Gentle Structure, Not Pressure
Heima is designed to support structure — not create stress.
You can:
- Adjust effort levels
- Start small with simple chores
- Build routines gradually
- Use AI suggestions to avoid overthinking setup
Structure creates freedom.
When your system works, everyday life feels lighter.
